"No, Yo-our fine... I'm a little clumsy thanks to this damn thing" CeeCee Said motioning towards her oddly twisted leg. She knew she probably wouldn't be able to have any luck getting back up. So she just let a nervous sigh. So embarrassed that she had fallen on him. Thanks to her god damn leg! Some times she wished that boulder would have just landed on her head instead.

Valen brought his legs up to his chest, his face pointed forward. "Oh," he responded simply, hoping his nonchalant behavior would cover up how much blushing he was doing. He glanced over at her leg, hoping to strike some conversation. He knew it probably would blow up in his face like it always does, but he decided to try anyway. A friend would be nice. "So-uh, where'd you get that?" he asked shyly, flicking his head toward her mangled leg.

"Hiking accident" CeeCee simply said, it was true. Her and her family had been hiking. But that wasn't just it. It was a lot deeper than that. "Where'd you get those?" She asked her eyes glancing at his fox ears. She smiled, although it was clearly a shy smile. She had never really been good at talking with anyone. So this would probably all blow up in her face

Valen looked up to see what she was looking at before quickly realizing that he hadn't been covering his head. Most people avoided him because of the abnormality, but she didn't seem to mind, which made him blush a little deeper. Everything seemed to make him blush. "Oh, those. Also a hiking accident," he said, giving her a shy smile before returning his eyes to look straight ahead. He had been hiking when he saw a fox, so he started following it. He tended to be a little absent minded like that. The radiation spike must of happened when he was particularly close to it.

CeeCee felt a bit embarrassed for staring at him for a moment. She had never really had a crush before. And she never thought she would develop one, expectially on a fox boy! She glanced away quickly looking down at the grass, while her left normal leg was folded close to her, like she was sitting criss-cross apple sauce. Her other leg was laying flat on the grass limpy, her foot nearly on the opposite side where it should be. Her foster parents had tried to see if they could get surgery to fix it, but the bones had completely fused together like that. And CeeCee would rather have two legs than no legs. Even if one of them didn't work. "You new here?"

Valen shook his head. "No, I've been here for a few years," he explained, glancing over at her for a moment. "You?" he asked. He had developed plenty of crushes in his life, but he had never actually spoken to the person he had his eye on. He would always curse himself for not speaking to them when he had the chance, and whenever he promised that he would do it next time he saw them, he never followed through. Ironically enough, this was one of the more deeper conversations he usually had, and he hadn't ever even seen the girl before. Just the fact that she wasn't completely repelled by him gave him a strange sense of relief.

"I just moved here a few months ago" CeeCee explained "I'm CeeCee" She said holding out her hand for him to shake. Her hand wasn't like most girls. Not elegant and graceful. Although it had a flowing liquid movement, it was a bit more rough and raggid. But CeeCee usually spent move of her time hiking, or camping. So her hand was pretty use to being used for rough work. Her freckled face full of interest. She was never really good at hiding her emotions. Although she hadn't cried in a few years. Not since her family had been crushed. So she could really only hide her sadness. CeeCee thought her eyes were probably glowing with the look that says 'hi! I think your hot!' but she wasn't sure

Valen took her hand and gave it a gentle shake. "Valen," he introduced briefly, wearing a sheepish grin. His hands was a lot softer than most guy's, given he was not a very physical boy. Sure he did his fair share of labor around the house, given he lived alone, but he never did anything extraneous. "Nice to meet you, CeeCee," he added quietly. He put his hand back down to his side and held it there for a moment before realizing he was still holding on to her hand. He quickly pushed it away, his head looking off to the side as if he didn't know what he had done. When in reality he was just trying to hide his blushing.

CeeCee was blushing heavily as well. She quickly pulled back her hand and glanced away. Staring up at the blue sky, she took a nervous breath. Well this was the longest conversation she'd ever had in a couple of years. "Do you have many friends?" She asked after a couple minutes of silence. Her heart roaring in her chest from being so embarrassed. She could nearly hear it pumping in her ears
