(( Okay, I could have sworn I responded!! ))
Bracken chuckled at her statement. She was right, they could be drinking water from a cow shit and it would still be considered hygienic. He walked back over to the cooler and pulled out a can of fried beans. He took it over to a particularly charred spot of tile floor, where he normally cooked his food.

Amelia started cracking up. "Wow, Bracken." She giggled, her eyes closed and her hands on her stomach.
(( Short because I'm ranting. xD ))

(( I'm ready to join your cause :3 ))
Bracken looked over at her, a confused look on his face. "What's so funny?" he asked, a nervous smile creeping onto his face.

"You and your indoor fire. What happened to smokey the bear: 'Only you can prevent forest fires'?" She was laughing way more than normal. Although she couldn't tell how uncharacteristic her own behavior was, it certainly wasn't the norm.

Bracken chuckled, though he went quiet as a wage of nostalgia rushed over him. It had been two years since he had heard a smokey commercial. Something inside him begged to hear it again, or any sign of old human technology that still worked.

Amelia frowned a bit, her heart racing a bit. She found herself dizzily setting the can of water on the ground and laying flat. "My head is spinning..." She murmured to herself.

Bracken looked over at her, setting his can of beans on the ground. He was about to start a fire, but he figured it could wait. He crawled over, putting his hand on her forehead just to make sure she hadn't contracted a fever. "You'd better stay down for a while," he suggested.

She looked up at him. "How warm?" She murmured, half here and half there. Her eyes struggled in and out of focus as she tried to get a clear picture of Bracken's facial expression.

Bracken smirked at the tired comment. "Don't worry about it," he said, gently tucking her in a little. "Maybe you'd better get more sleep," he suggested.

Amelia hardly had to be asked twice. She felt so weak, so helpless, so incredibly exhausted. She sighed, her eyes closing tiredly. Her skin burned like the sun in July and the fever was getting bad enough that she'd actually stopped sweating.
( It'd be soooo ironic to die of an infection after being bitten by a zombie when you're immune to the zombie bite. xD Se's not though. xD ))
(( I gtg! ))

(( Aww, bye! ))
Bracken gave her a weak smile, though he was feeling really worried on the inside. He hoped the fever wasn't anything serious, and especially not contagious.
